Please read these terms carefully before using Atlas Rare.
Atlas Rare provides patient navigation support only. It is not a medical service, healthcare provider, or insurance advisor. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or legal advice.
1. Who We Are and What We Do
Atlas Rare is operated by SlopLens LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Atlas Rare," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide AI-assisted navigation support for rare disease patients and caregivers, including:
- Clinical trial matching based on condition category and profile
- Prior authorization appeal letter drafting (administrative support only — closed beta, invite-only)
- Plain-language summaries of publicly available PubMed research
- Specialist identification based on condition category
- Appointment preparation questions and guidance
Atlas Rare is a navigation and administrative support tool. We are not a healthcare provider, medical practice, insurance company, pharmacy benefit manager, or legal service. We do not provide diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or medical opinions.
2. The Most Important Thing You Need to Know
Atlas Rare is for informational and administrative support purposes only. Always discuss clinical trial eligibility, treatment decisions, insurance appeals, and medical questions with your licensed healthcare provider before taking any action. Never delay seeking medical care because of something you read on Atlas Rare.
Prior authorization letters drafted by Atlas Rare are starting templates for administrative purposes. They are not legal documents, are not guaranteed to be approved by any insurer, and must be reviewed by you and your healthcare provider before submission. Atlas Rare makes no representations about appeal outcomes.
3. Prior Authorization Hard Stop
Atlas Rare's prior authorization letter drafting feature is currently available by invitation only as a closed beta. Letters generated by Atlas Rare:
- Are administrative templates, not legal or medical documents
- Must be reviewed and approved by your healthcare provider before submission
- Must be reviewed by you for accuracy before submission
- Should not be submitted directly to any insurer without independent review
- Are provided solely as a starting point for your own drafting and review process
Until Atlas Rare has received a formal FDA Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) regulatory opinion and attorney review of template language, prior authorization letters are provided as drafting assistance only. This restriction exists to protect you. We will notify users when this feature exits closed beta.
4. Who Can Use Atlas Rare
Atlas Rare is available to:
- Individuals 18 years of age or older
- Caregivers acting on behalf of rare disease patients, including minor patients, provided the caregiver creates and manages the account and all account activity is conducted under the caregiver’s identity
Atlas Rare is not available to healthcare providers seeking to use it as a clinical decision support tool for patient care, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, or third parties seeking to aggregate patient data.
5. Account Registration

8. Crisis Safety

Atlas Rare monitors for crisis-related language in user interactions. If our system detects language suggesting a medical emergency or mental health crisis, it will halt all normal processing and display emergency resources only. A pre-written, human-drafted crisis response will be shown. No AI-generated response will be provided in response to a detected crisis. This monitoring exists solely to protect users and does not affect your privacy or the anonymization of your navigation data.
9. Research Participation
Atlas Rare is conducting research on rare disease patient navigation barriers under an IRB protocol that has been submitted and is pending approval. Research data collection will not begin until written IRB approval is received.
Research participation is entirely voluntary and separate from your use of navigation services. If you choose to participate once the IRB is approved, you may receive occasional one-click follow-up messages asking about the outcome of a prior authorization appeal or clinical trial match. You can opt out at any time without affecting your access to Atlas Rare. Research data is collected and stored under your anonymized ID only.
You will never be enrolled in research without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details on research data handling.

11. Content and Accuracy
Atlas Rare queries public databases including ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed. Information from these sources may be incomplete, outdated, or not applicable to your specific situation. Clinical trial eligibility criteria change frequently. Always verify trial information directly with the trial site or your healthcare provider.
Atlas Rare's AI agents may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete results. All output from Atlas Rare should be treated as a starting point for further research and discussion with your healthcare team, not as a final answer.
12. Intellectual Property
Atlas Rare and its licensors own all intellectual property in our platform, AI models, navigation methodology, and documentation. You retain ownership of any information you provide. In no event shall Atlas Rare be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including any damages arising from reliance on navigation output, prior authorization outcomes, or clinical trial information.
